Requirements: Core and elective units of study for the Master of Information Technology Management, Diploma in Information Technology Management and the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Management are shown in the accompanying Tables.

1. Candidates for the degree of Master of Information Technology Management are required to complete 48 credit points from the listed units of study including three mandatory units, INFO5990, INFO5991 and INFO5992 plus at least 30 credit points must come from core units of study.

2. Candidates for the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Management must complete 36 credit points from the listed units of study including INFO5990 and INFO5991.

3. Candidates for the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Management must complete 24 credit points of these units including INFO5990.

4. A maximum of 18 credit points of elective units of study can be taken for the Master of Information Technology Management, of which no more than 12 credit points can be chosen from units offered outside the Faculty of Engineering and IT.

5. After completing 24 credit points of coursework, students who achieve Credit average results or above in their coursework may select 12 credit points of Information Technology Project (COMP5703) among their core units;

6. By default, all commencing students start in the Professional Pathway. After completing 24 credit points of coursework, students who have Distinction average results or above may be eligible for the Research Path subject to the approval of the Head of the School of Information Technologies and the Dean. Students in the Research Path are required to take COMP5702, COMP5704, and INFO5993. Note: students undertaking the Research Path may be exempted from INFO5990.
