Requirements: 1) Honours is available to meritorious candidates who complete an additional year of full-time study, after the completion of the pass degree. Part-time study is permitted if the Head of School is satisfied the candidate cannot undertake full-time study.

2) To qualify for admission to the honours year a candidate should: (a) have qualified for, or been awarded, the pass degree or an equivalent degree from another university, including a stream or major in the intended area of study; (b) have a ISWAM of at least 65; and (c)have the permission of the Head of School.

3) To qualify for the award of the honours degree a candidate must complete 48 credit points of honours units of study from the Honours Table, as prescribed by the Head of School. The honours mark is determined by calculating a WAM from the 48 credit points of honours level units of study.

4) Honours is awarded in the streams of Computer Science or Computer Science (Advanced) or Informations Systems or Informations Systems (Advanced) according to the stream of the student's previous pass degree.

5) Candidates eligible to enrol in two streams may complete honours in the two streams separately or a joint honours, equivalent to an honours course in a single stream, with school permission.
