The course requirements described here apply to persons who commenced their candidature after 1 January, 2012 and persons who commenced their candidature prior to 1 January, 2012 who elect to proceed under 2012 resolutions.
Candidates who commenced prior to 1 January, 2012 may complete the requirements in accordance with the resolutions in force at the time of their commencement, provided that requirements are completed by 1 January, 2017, or later date as the faculty may, in special circumstances, approve.
Candidates who first commenced in 2012, and are re-enrolling for 2013 or later, should be aware that there may have been changes in units of study offered since, Check that units are still available by clicking the unit of study link in the course table. Requirements: | NOTE: This degree is no longer offered to new students. Students wishing to transfer from other degrees may only do so if they initially enrolled in 2011 or beforehand and have maintained a normal full-time record of 48CP per year. Candidates for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Project Engineering and Management must complete 192 credit points, comprising: ►156 credit points of core units, ►24 credit points of 3rd and 4th year Civil electives, and ►12 credit points of "free" electives. A "Free" elective can be any other Civil Engineering unit of study, or any unit of study in any faculty of Sydney University subject to approval of the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Civil. For a list of pre-approved "free" electives see: http://sydney.edu.au/engineering/civil/current/undergraduate/electives.shtml#free Choice of electives will depend upon subject availability; timetabling and prerequisite conditions. Students in the Honours program must enrol in CIVL4022 & CIVL4023; students in the Pass Program must enrol in CIVL4024 & CIVL4025. With special permission from the Director of the Learning and Teaching; Civil Engineering; it is possible to take Thesis or Project A in Semester 2 and Thesis or Project B in Semester 1. CIVL0011; CIVL0012; CIVL0013; CIVL0014; CIVL0015; CIVL0016; CIVL0017 AND CIVL0018 are available for international exchange study programs. Most Mathematics; Chemistry; Physics and Computer Science units of study offered by the Faculty of Science can be replaced by an equivalent advanced level units of study subject to prerequisite conditions (as required by the Faculty of Science) being met. |
