The course requirements described here apply to persons who commenced their candidature after 1 January, 2017 and persons who commenced their candidature prior to 1 January, 2017 who elect to proceed under 2017 resolutions.
Candidates who commenced prior to 1 January, 2017 may complete the requirements in accordance with the resolutions in force at the time of their commencement, provided that requirements are completed by 1 January, 2022, or later date as the faculty may, in special circumstances, approve.
Candidates who first commenced in 2017, and are re-enrolling for 2018 or later, should be aware that there may have been changes in units of study offered since, Check that units are still available by clicking the unit of study link in the course table. Requirements: | The Advanced Engineering Program is special stream within the Bachelor of Engineering degree open to students with outstanding academic ability (a ATAR of 98 or higher). It offers the opportunity to study Science subjects such as physics and mathematics in the first year at the advanced level or to work in a supervised design group of about six students developing a premise into a working prototype. Entry to the program is by invitation from the Dean following the release of HSC results. The program is available in all engineering disciplines and continues in Year 2, 3 and 4, enabling students to expand on the skills acquired during the first year. Students completing 18 cp of advanced engineering units spanning at least 3 year levels will be awarded a Certificate of Advanced Engineering on Graduation. |
