The course requirements described here apply to persons who commenced their candidature after 1 January, 2011 and persons who commenced their candidature prior to 1 January, 2011 who elect to proceed under 2011 resolutions.
Candidates who commenced prior to 1 January, 2011 may complete the requirements in accordance with the resolutions in force at the time of their commencement, provided that requirements are completed by 1 January, 2016, or later date as the faculty may, in special circumstances, approve.
Candidates who first commenced in 2011, and are re-enrolling for 2012 or later, should be aware that there may have been changes in units of study offered since, Check that units are still available by clicking the unit of study link in the course table. Requirements: | Students in the Honours program must enrol in CIVL4022 & CIVL4023; students in the Pass Program must enrol in CIVL4024 & CIVL4025. For the BE (Project Engg and Mgmt (Civil)) degree students must take at least 24 credit points of study from the recommended Third Year and Fourth Year units. The remaining 12 credit points can be obtained from any of the listed elective units or from units of study in other Faculties subject to approval from the Director of the Learning and Teaching; Civil Engineering. With special permission from the Director of the Learning and Teaching; Civil Engineering; it is possible to take Thesis or Project A in Semester 2 and Thesis or Project B in Semester 1. CIVL0011; CIVL0012; CIVL0013; CIVL0014; CIVL0015; CIVL0016; CIVL0017 AND CIVL0018 are available for international exchange study programs. Choice of electives as shown in the above table will depend upon subject availability; timetabling and prerequisite conditions. Most Mathematics; Chemistry; Physics and Computer Science units of study offered by the Faculty of Science can be replaced by an equivalent advanced level units of study subject to prerequisite conditions (as required by the Faculty of Science) being met. |
