Year 1 - Semester 1
Note: The list above shows core units for Flexible First Year Stream B with Commerce combined. Stream B provides choice of entry into the Bachelor of Information Technology, the Bachelor of Computer Science and Technology or the Engineering areas of Electrical, Electrical(Computer), Electrical (Power), Electrical(Bioelectronics), Electrical(Telecommunications), Mechatronics, Mechatronics (Space) or Software. Students in this option will choose their specialisation at the end of Semester 1 and continue in the specialist program or IT degree in Semester 2.
The list is subject to the following variations.
1. Students planning to undertake Mechatronic or Mechatronic(Space) specialisation may replace INFO1103 with ENGG1801 Engineering Computing. Students planning to undertake the Bachelor of Information technologies or the Bachelor of Computer Science and Technology may replace INFO1103 with the more advanced INFO1903.
2. ACCT1005 and ECOF1003 are both core units for the Bachelor of Commerce and must be completed at some in the combined degree. Flexible First Year Students considering Mechatronic or Mechatronic (Space) specialisation are advised to select ECOF1003 in first year to keep in step with the recommended sequence for Mechatronic Engineering/Commerce combined degrees. Students planning other specialisations are advised to select ACCT1005 in first year for the same reason.
