The course requirements described here apply to persons who commenced their candidature after 1 January, 2015 and persons who commenced their candidature prior to 1 January, 2015 who elect to proceed under 2015 resolutions.
Candidates who commenced prior to 1 January, 2015 may complete the requirements in accordance with the resolutions in force at the time of their commencement, provided that requirements are completed by 1 January, 2020, or later date as the faculty may, in special circumstances, approve.
Candidates who first commenced in 2015, and are re-enrolling for 2016 or later, should be aware that there may have been changes in units of study offered since, Check that units are still available by clicking the unit of study link in the course table. Students may complete a maximum of 24 credit points of the Foundation units of study. Candidates will be required to select units which complement their prior background and qualifications (subject to assessment by the Academic Director).

Requirements: | To qualify for the award of the Master of Health Technology Innovation a candidate must complete 96 credit points including: (a) 24 credit points of Core units of study; and (b) A minimum of 24 credit points of the Specialist units of study; and (c) A minimum of 12 credit points of Project units of study; and (d) A maximum of 24 credit points of Foundation units of study. Candidates will be required to select units which complement their prior background and qualifications (subject to assessment by the Academic Director). Recognition of Prior Learning The Master of Health Technology Innovation is a two year (96 credit point) program. Depending on the level and type of your previous tertiary studies in health and/or technology, you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) which will shorten the length of the degree. Eligible students could save up-to 48 credit points (a reduction of up-to 2 semesters of equivalent full-time study), and complete the program within 12 months of full-time study. - In the Master of Health Technology Innovation, credit may be granted against the Foundation Units component, up-to 24 credit points maximum. - Students with previous postgraduate qualifications or an honours level bachelor degree, in health and/or technology disciplines, may be granted credit against other specific units of study, up to a maximum of 24 credit points. Candidates who do not achieve a credit average may have their eligibility for the Capstone Project subject to review by the Academic Director. Dissertation With permission from the Dean or nominee, a candidate for the Master of Health Technology Innovation who has completed 24 credit points from Core, Specialist or Foundation units of study with at least Distinction average marks may take Health Technology Innovation Dissertation Project units. Completion time Enrolment in the Master of Health Technology Innovation may be either part-time or full-time with a maximum completion time of 6 years. |
