2. Requirements

To qualify for the award of the Graduate Diploma in Health Technology Innovation a candidate must complete 60 credit points including:

(a) A minimum of 12 credit points of the Core units of study; and

(b) A minimum of 12 credit points of the Specialist units of study; and

(c) A maximum of 12 credit points of the Foundation units of study. Candidates will be required to select units which complement their prior background and qualifications (subject to assessment by the Academic Director).

Recognition of Prior Learning

The Graduate Diploma in Health Technology Innovation is a 1.5 year (60 credit point) program. 

Depending on the level and type of your previous tertiary studies in health and/or technology, you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) which will shorten the length of the degree.

In the Graduate Diploma in Health Technology Innovation, credit may be granted against the Foundation Units component, up-to 12 credit points maximum. Students who are eligible for this credit would be able reduce their total requirements to 48 credit points and complete the program within 12 months of full-time study.

Completion time

Enrolment in the Graduate Diploma in Health Technology Innovation may be either part-time or full-time with a maximum completion time of five years.

HTIN5003 - Health Technology Evaluation is available in Semester 2 Block Mode only.

Note: Note that for 2015, the first intake is expected in Semester 2. There will be no enrolments in the Master of Health Technology Innovation for Semester 1, 2015.

Candidates for the Master of Health Technology Innovation must complete 12 credit points of the Core units of study.

Students may complete a maximum of 12 credit points of the Foundation units of study. Candidates will be required to select units which complement their prior background and qualifications (subject to assessment by the Academic Director).
