Note:
48 credit points of Intermediate Science units of study must be taken. These comprise (i) six BMED240X units (36 credit points) plus (ii) MBLG2071 and 2072 Molecular Biology and Genetics A and B (12 credit points) or the advanced version of these units MBLG2971 and MBLG2972.
BMED240x units of study replace the BMED280x units that were offered in previous years. MBLG2071 and MBLG2072 (or the advanced equivalents MBLG2971 and MBLG2972) are required from 2012 onwards. Transitional arrangements apply for students who have completed some, but not all, of the pre-2012 intermediate core BMED280X units. These arrangements are explained in the Requirements section of this outline. See Faculty Handbook for further details at http://sydney.edu.au/handbooks/
Note: Minimum of 24CP senior must be chosen from Medical Science related units in the subject areas of: Anatomy (NOT ANAT(3006 and 3007)), Biology (Genetics) (ie. BIOL3018/3918, 3025/3925, 3026/3926), Biochemistry, Cell Pathology, Histology, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Neuroscience, Nutrition and Metabolism, Pharmacology, Physiology and Virology.
