Note: Engineering/Commerce students undertaking a major in Accounting must complete the following in addition to the core Bachelor of Commerce units.

(1) Two compulsory senior units of study (12 credit points):ACCT2011 and ACCT2012. Completion of core junior engineering unit MATH1005 is required beforehand. MATH1005 replaces ECMT1010 as prerequisite for ECMT1020. Core Bachelor Commerce core units ACCT1001 and ACCT1002 are also prerequisites for the Accounting major and must be completed first.

(2) At least four (six-credit point) units of study or equivalent (24 credit points) selected from the senior elective units list, noting that ACCT3098 and ACCT3099 are worth three credit points each and that CLAW2201 requires the completion of additional prerequisites outside the units listed for this major.

Note: Engineering/Commerce students undertaking a major in Business Information Systems must complete the following in addition to core degree units.

(1) Two compulsory senior units of study (12 credit points): INFS2001 and INFS2020.

(2) At least five elective units of study (30 credit points) selected from the senior elective units list, noting that the units listed above are those units which are being offered for the current year only.

Core Bachelor of Commerce unit INFS1000 is a prerequisite for this major and must be completed first.

Note: Engineering/Commerce combined degree students intending to complete a major in Business Law must complete the following.

(1) One prerequisite junior unit of study (6 credit points): CLAW1000.

(2) One compulsory senior unit of study (6 credit points): CLAW2201.

(3) At least six elective units of study (36 credit points) selected from the senior elective units list, noting that CLAW2206 will not be offered for 2010.

Note: Engineering/Commerce combined degree students undertaking a major in Econometrics must complete the following in addition to the core Bachelor of Commerce units.

(1) One prerequisite junior unit of study (6 credit points): ECMT1020. Completion of core junior engineering unit MATH1005 is required beforehand. MATH1005 replaces ECMT1010 as prerequisite for ECMT1020.

(2) Two compulsory senior units of study (12 credit points): ECMT2110, ECMT3110.

(3) One unit (6 credit points) chosen from the four senior electives: ECMT3120, ECMT3130, ECMT3150, ECMT3170.

(4) At least three elective units of study (18 credit points) selected from the other senior elective units listed.

(5) Not more than two of the following management science units: ECMT2620, ECMT2630, ECMT2640, ECMT3610.

Note: Engineering/Commerce combined degree students undertaking a major in Economics must complete the following in addition to the core Bachelor of Commerce units.

(1) One prerequisite junior unit of study (6 credit points): ECMT1020. Completion of core junior engineering unit MATH1005 is required beforehand. MATH1005 replaces ECMT1010 as prerequisite for ECMT1020.

(2) Two compulsory senior units of study (12 credit points): ECOS2001, ECOS2002.

(3) At least four elective units of study (24 credit points) selected from the ECOS senior elective units listed.

Note: Engineering/Commerce combined degree students undertaking a major in Finance must complete the following:

(1) Two compulsory senior units of study (12 credit points): FINC2011, FINC2012. Completion of core junior engineering unit MATH1005 is required beforehand. MATH1005 replaces ECMT1010 as prerequisite for the Finance major.

(2) At least 24 credit points selected from the senior elective units list - OR 18 credit points from the list plus either ACCT3013 Financial Statement Analysis or CLAW3201 Australian Taxation System (assuming completion of relevant prerequisites in each case).

Note: Students undertaking a major in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management must complete the following.

(1) One prerequisite junior unit of study (6 credit points): WORK1003.

(2) Two compulsory senior units of study (12 credit points): WORK2203, WORK2205.

(3) At least five elective units of study (30 credit points) selected from the senior elective units list.

Note: For a major in International Business, students must complete a minimum 36 credit points in senior units of study comprising:

(1) Four compulsory senior units of study (24 credit points): IBUS2101,IBUS2102, IBUS3101, IBUS3102.

(2) At least two elective units of study (12 credit points) selected from the senior elective units list. Note that many senior elective units of study require the completion of additional prerequisites outside of those units listed for this major. Click on the individual unit for information about these. Students undertaking combined degrees will need to carefully consider prerequisite implications before selecting any of these units to ensure that they do not exceed the credit point limit for the BCom component.

Note: Engineering/Commerce combined degree students intending to complete a major in Management must complete the following in addition to the core Bachelor of Commerce units.

(1) One compulsory senior unit of study (six credit points): WORK2201.

(2) At least five units of study (30 credit points) selected from the senior elective units list.

Note: Students intending to complete a major in Marketing must complete the following.

(1) Two prerequisite junior units of study (12 credit points): MKTG1001 & MKTG1002.

(2) Two compulsory senior units of study (12 credit points): MKTG2112, MKTG3118.

(3) At least four units of study (24 credit points) selected from the senior elective units list.

Note: Engineering/Commerce combined degree students undertaking a major in Operations Management and Decision Sciences must complete the following.

(1) One prerequisite junior units of study (6 credit points): ECMT1020. Completion of core junior engineering unit MATH1005 is required beforehand. MATH1005 replaces ECMT1010 as prerequisite for ECMT1020.

(2) Four compulsory senior units of study (24 credit points): ECMT2620, ECMT2630, ECMT2640, ECMT3610.

(3) At least two units of study (12 credit points) from the senior elective units list.

Note: Students with ISWAM of 65% or greater are eligible for Honours pathway and can replace Engineering Project units CIVL4024 and COVL4025 with Honours Thesis units CIVL4022 and CIVL4023.
