The course requirements described here apply to persons who commenced their candidature after 1 January, 2014 and persons who commenced their candidature prior to 1 January, 2014 who elect to proceed under 2014 resolutions.
Candidates who commenced prior to 1 January, 2014 may complete the requirements in accordance with the resolutions in force at the time of their commencement, provided that requirements are completed by 1 January, 2019, or later date as the faculty may, in special circumstances, approve.
Candidates who first commenced in 2014, and are re-enrolling for 2015 or later, should be aware that there may have been changes in units of study offered since, Check that units are still available by clicking the unit of study link in the course table. Requirements: | 1. Stream A is designed to lead students into the following branches of Engineering : Aeronautical; Aeronautical(Space); Biomedical (all majors except Electrical); Chemical and Biomolecular; Civil; Mechanical and Mechanical(Space). 2. Students wishing to transfer to Biomedical Engineering or Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering should transfer to that stream in Semester 2. 3. Students may take advanced alternatives in place of MATH1001 and MATH1002 but should check with the Faculty of Science before doing so. 4. Students enrolling in Flexible First Year as first stage of a combined Engineering/Commerce degree are advised take junior commerce units as shown in the accompanying semester enrolment table. Please consult school advisers so that a correct choice of core and elective is made. |
