Year 1 - Semester 1
SITS Diet Block/Type | CP | Unit of Study/Unit Block |
3 | MATH1002: Linear Algebra
3 | MATH1021: Calculus of One Variable
6 | ENGF1112: Introduction to Engineering B
6 | ENGG1800: Introduction to Engineering A Note: Candidates take ENGG1800 to help decide which direction to take. This unit will count as the core Project 1 unit for any engineering stream.
0 | ENGP1001: Professional Engagement Program 1A Note: All students must enrol in ENGP1001 in their first semester of enrolment.
6 | LAWS1006: Foundations of Law |
Note: MATH1021 and MATH1002 may be replaced by advanced units MATH1921 and MATH1902, subject to prerequisite conditions being met. Students should seek advice from their school before enrolling.
Flexible first year students starting in 2023 will take ENGF1112 in place of ENGG2112 Multi-disciplinary Engineering. This will give students space in Year 2 to catch up on their selected stream.
Students choose a stream of engineering to undertake at the end of Semester 1. In Semester 2 they then follow the program for that particular engineering stream.
Year 1 - Semester 2
Note: MATH1023 and MATH1005 may be replaced by advanced units MATH1923 and MATH1905.
This semester's units should only be used as a temporary enrolment. At the end of Semester 1 you should select your stream and change your unit selection to the appropriate units for that stream. Note that the MATH units should be taken regardless of which stream is selected.
