Engineering/Commerce combined degree students undertaking a major in Economics must complete the following in addition to the core Bachelor of Commerce units.

(1) One prerequisite junior unit of study (6 credit points): ECMT1020. Completion of core junior engineering unit MATH1005 is required beforehand. MATH1005 replaces ECMT1010 as prerequisite for ECMT1020.

(2) Two compulsory senior units of study (12 credit points): ECOS2001, ECOS2002.

(3) At least four elective units of study (24 credit points) selected from the ECOS senior elective units listed.

Requirements: To be awarded the Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Commerce combined degree, students must complete units of study with a total value of 240 credit points, comprising units of study required for the Bachelor of Engineering’s specialisation and a minimum of 96 credit points in units of study from the Faculty of Economics and Business. The 96 credit points from the Faculty of Economics and Business must include:

• core Bachelor of Commerce units as set out in the Faculty of Economics and Business handbook (www.usyd.edu.au/handbooks/). Note that core units for 2011 are different from 2010.

• a minimum of 48 credit points in senior (2000 and 3000 level) units of study)

• a major selected from the `Bachelor of Commerce subject areas for majors and electives`
