Requirements: To qualify for the award of the Master of Professional Engineering (Accelerated) in this stream, a candidate must complete 96 credit points, including:

(a) 12 credit points of Professional Engineering units

(b) A minimum of 12 credit points of capstone or research units

(c) 72 credit points of Civil stream units, consisting of:

       (i) 36 credit points of Civil Core units,

       (ii) 36 credit points from a specialisation or Civil Stream Specialist units, including:

               - 24 credit points of Advanced Specialist units, and

               - 12 credit points of Specialist units

Specialisations

The completion of a Specialisation is optional.

Completion of a Specialisation requires 36 credit points from a Specialisation area. The available Specialisations are:

     • Geomechanical Engineering

     • Structures

     • Water Engineering

     • Civil Stream Specialist units (No Specialisation)

Students choosing not to complete a Specialisation must enrol in the Civil Stream Specialist units (No Specialisation) pathway.
