The course requirements described here apply to persons who commenced their candidature after 1 January, 2023 and persons who commenced their candidature prior to 1 January, 2023 who elect to proceed under 2023 resolutions.
Candidates who commenced prior to 1 January, 2023 may complete the requirements in accordance with the resolutions in force at the time of their commencement, provided that requirements are completed by 1 January, 2028, or later date as the faculty may, in special circumstances, approve.
Candidates who first commenced in 2023, and are re-enrolling for 2024 or later, should be aware that there may have been changes in units of study offered since, Check that units are still available by clicking the unit of study link in the course table. Note: MATH1021 and MATH1002 may be replaced by advanced units MATH1921 and MATH1902, subject to prerequisite conditions being met. Students should seek advice from their school before enrolling.
Flexible first year students starting in 2023 will take ENGF1112 in place of ENGG2112 Multi-disciplinary Engineering. This will give students space in Year 2 to catch up on their selected stream.
Students choose a stream of engineering to undertake at the end of Semester 1. In Semester 2 they then follow the program for that particular engineering stream.

This semester's units should only be used as a temporary enrolment. At the end of Semester 1 you should select your stream and change your unit selection to the appropriate units for that stream. Note that the MATH units should be taken regardless of which stream is selected.

| Requirements: | Summary In summary the requirements are: Students must complete 192 credit points as follows: ► a minimum of 18 credit points from the Engineering Foundations Table, including all required units; and ► a minimum 30 credit points from the Engineering Projects Table, including all required units; and ► a minimum of 120 credit points from the Engineering Stream Table for the stream being undertaken, including all required units; and ► a maximum of 24 credit points from Table S or any unit from within the Faculty of Engineering which are available to undergraduate students; and ► candidates must successfully complete the requirements of the Professional Engagement Program.
