Requirements: To qualify for the award of the Master of Professional Engineering (Accelerated) in this stream, a candidate must complete 96 credit points, including:

(a) 12 credit points of Professional Engineering units

(b) A minimum of 12 credit points of capstone or research units

(c) 72 credit points of Electrical stream units, consisting of:,

       (i) 60 credit points of from a chosen Electrical Specialisation, including:

               a) 48 credit points of Electrical Specialisation Core units, and

               b) 12 credit points of Electrical Specialisation Elective units  

                (Students in the Electrical Stream Specialist Units (No Specialisation) complete different Core and Elective requirements.)

       (ii) 12 credit points of Management Elective units

Specialisations

The completion of a Specialisation is optional and requires 60 credit points from a Specialisation area.

The available Specialisations are:

     • Intelligent Information Engineering

     • Internet of Things

     • Power Engineering

     • Telecommunications Engineering

     • Electrical Stream Specialist units (No Specialisation)*

*Students choosing not to complete a Specialisation must enrol in the Electrical Stream Specialist units (No Specialisation) pathway, wherein they complete 24 credit points of Stream Specialist Core units and 36 credit points of Stream Specialist Elective units.
