Candidates are required to achieve a minimum academic level as described in the Engineering Handbook: http://sydney.edu.au/handbooks/engineering/ . Students not meeting this requirement will be awarded the PASS degree Bachelor of Engineering. Civil Engineering Specialisation Specialisation in the BE (Civil) degree is available to exceptional students who meet certain progress requirements. To satisfy the specialisation criteria students must be enrolled in a specialisation stream and complete at least 3 electives from the relevant specialisation listed below and undertake an Honours Thesis or Engineering Project in a related topic: (i) Structures Specialisation: CIVL3235; CIVL5266; CIVL5269; CIVL5458 (ii) Environmental Specialisation: CIVL3614; CIVL5351; CIVL5668; CIVL5670 (iii) Geotechnical Specialisation: CIVL3411; CIVL5351; CIVL5452; CIVL5458.
