The course requirements described here apply to persons who commenced their candidature after 1 January, 2015 and persons who commenced their candidature prior to 1 January, 2015 who elect to proceed under 2015 resolutions.
Candidates who commenced prior to 1 January, 2015 may complete the requirements in accordance with the resolutions in force at the time of their commencement, provided that requirements are completed by 1 January, 2020, or later date as the faculty may, in special circumstances, approve.
Candidates who first commenced in 2015, and are re-enrolling for 2016 or later, should be aware that there may have been changes in units of study offered since, Check that units are still available by clicking the unit of study link in the course table. Requirements: | Most units of study offered by the Science Faculty shown above can be replaced by an equivalent advanced level unit; subject to prerequisite conditions (as required by the Faculty of Science) being met. Students considering doing advanced options should seek advice from their department before enrolling. Students undertaking Study Abroad in a particular year of their degree must enrol in the appropriate International Exchange Program units of study as an alternative to a semester`s standard units. All candidates are required to complete a minimum of 192 credit points and a Practical Experience period to be eligible for the award of the degree of BE(Hons)(Mechatronics). Students are required to complete a minimum of 30 credits of recommended 4th year units. Students who do not meet the Honours requirements of 65% average marks throughout the degree will be awarded the PASS degree Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics) |
