Completion of a specialisation is optional. Students not wishing to complete a specialisations should select 'CBE Stream Electives'. Students may like to initially select the Stream Electives option and choose a specialisation after their first year.

A stream specialisation is a subset of stream electives relevant to a particular aspect of CBE, such as Water and Environmental Treatment Processes.
A breadth specialisation broadens your knowledge outside the field of CBE, in areas such as Engineering Data Science.

You have 3 specialisation options to choose from in the CBE Stream:

Foundation electives [12 cp] + Stream electives [24 cp] + stream or free elective [6cp] (no specialisation option) or
1 stream specialisation [24cp] + Foundation electives [12 cp] + stream or free elective [6cp] or
